Let's keep track of EBAy sales of 1 oz w platinums uncirculated coins.
Sure its a pre-sale of a NGC ms70. With a little more than 1 hour to go it's at $2025.
I hope it picks up speed.
NO it's not my auction, but since I will be selling 3, I am very interested.
I think these will take after shortly after the 1st of the year.

IMO selling now is stupid. Less than 10% of people know history has just been made........
Wait til articles in Coin World and NN appear and real coins with real pictures are available in PCGS slabs.
Let NGC set the low end base price!
<< <i>Not too bad for a coin you could have bought in quanity 2 weeks ago for less than $1400.

Kind of, it was an NGC 70 so it was a better than average coin. I am finding with the $100 Plats that 70's are not going to be gimmes. The ones I have seen so far all have a little bit of rim nicks becasue of the wire rim created in the striking process. These little rim ticks are what keep coins out of 70 holders. MS70 coins, I know most say they can't tell the difference but there is, is all about a Perfect coin INCLUDING the rims. The rims need to be FULL and mark free. Look close at your really nice MS69's and I bet you find a rim that is not fully rounded or has a wipe or scrape. That is the reason it is not a 70.
I think
this coin will be big in time unless an even lower mintage is produced which is unlikely.

History has just been made? Really? So, this is on the same level as a war or medical miracle?
Nothing like a bit of hyperbole.......and, that's what worries me about some of these.....a lot of people bought them only for "investment" purposes and are doing the same thing as Robert Chambers and others now.....
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

This is starting to get interesting.
My 3 pieces have shipped from the mint.
When the coin world article hits it should explode.
I can't wait.

So when will we see these added to the registry?
<< <i>So when will we see these added to the registry?
I hope very soon.
I need money to buy more Barber dimes ya know.
$3,450.00
I guess mine are going in for grading.
<< <i>Ok. Your post was exactly 9 seconds after the auction closed....finger on the trigger? >>
Nope but since I have some to sell, I am trying to judge when the mad rush will happen.
My finger is on the sell trigger, not the buy trigger.
<< <i>I meant the "post the price" trigger. >>
Yep, I like that trigger.
Just wanted to keep my thread current.

Raw Sealed set.
at $3000.00 raw and the MS70's for $5,000-$6,000 IMO at this early
stage of the mostly "unkown" coins.
A massive Platinum Education Program needs to be
put in place immediately! LOL. I would never settle for such
low prices on these and it's way too early to sell. IMO.
A January 1 completion time might affect the price.
$3,450.00
And that's a "no Paypal" selling price.
...so that I can keep my 2006-W Uncirculated Gold 1/2 ouncers
Wow! IMHO, a big mistake......
...so that I can keep my 2006-W Uncirculated Gold 1/2 ouncers
That's a toughie.
I knew it would happen.
Who knows what will happen.

<< <i>I believe it's very foolish and short sighted to be selling these low mintage coins so early. The same goes for the 20th anniversary gold and silver sets. >>
I think there might some profit taking just to hedge against future low mintage issues. Besides, many probably have overextended themselves financially to buy the sets. I'm not suggesting getting out completely, but those who sell half and keep half will probably do just fine.
I needed to sell 2 of my 3 to pay bills and re-insulate my attic.
I bought these 3 as a flip hope only.
I sold 2 of mine here on the b/s/t for $4900.00 and avoided all ebay and paypal fees.
So sold 2, paid for 3 and pocketed about $700.00
I am now going to submit my last one, hope for a 70, and it can join my silver and gold 20th sets in the bank safety deposit box.
It may not be much, but the US mint has given me approx 10,000 of free money in the bank this year. I am a big fan of the mint.
I wanted to hold on longer term, but hey like I preach, you cannot lose by taking an early profit.
My credit card is paid, and ready for the next mint speculation. My kids will be warmer, my heating bills will be lower, and all in all the extra money saved can go to my Barber Dime Dansco set.

The BINs for $3890 are also the 2006-P coins. Anyone else surprised the bullion coins are going for these prices?
into the buying regular platinum coins as W Uncircs at high prices.
Just an observation!
<< <i>All of the ones listed with a BIN price of $3950 are the 2006-P bullion coins, not the 2006-W!
