  • I just raised my sale price of two sets on Ebay to $13K in hopes I get no bidders.

I would love to get NO BIDS at this point and pull them off.

If you have no bidders, you can cancel your auction at any time.

It looks like the w gold eagles will finish with darn low mintages as well. Three new key coins in this set (1/10, 1/4 and 1/2) with 8-10 times the number of collectors versus platinum. Both Platinum and Gold 2006-w sets should be interesting to watch in 2007 as the prices rise.
  • According to the referenced article in NN, there is nothing BUT uncertainty surrounding the final mintage. The article says that the person from the Mint who supplied the figures had a faulty comptuer and that we will have to wait on the Mint's reconciliation process to determine the final numbers. I don't even know why they would even post such figures without clearly stating they are not reliable... a pretty good example of shoddy journalism.

If you have no bidders right now, just cancel the auction. Simple to do.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

They sold out very quickly unless someone bought 100's of them. Interesting to see if the mintages do change.
  • This is nuts, I am going to file a Freedom of Information Act Request on the mintage!

The US Mint is our "Company" and as a 'stakeholder', I want to know what goods were made and sold, not just what the profit was.

But what if they don't have the numbers? It's kind of like holding up a bum and demanding that he give you a 100-ounce bar of platinum. If the goods aren't there, you're not going to get them. (Wow, there are many hidden analogies in my statement there. image )

  • Your FOIA will most likely take over a year to be answered. By then we'll have "reconciled" numbers image
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

the way I read the report is that the computer mix up was from an earlier report and now it is fixed with the numbers we see published.

raising it to $13,000 is interesting, I have 2 sets still available for less if you want them....but with only a feedback of (1) I dont know if anyone will take you seriously!

    good luck,

Hey I just figgered I own 1% of the 2006-W 1 Ounce BU Platinum Eagle market - with 5 total coins. OK, make that 5 individually issued 1 ounce coins. 5 out of 500
