Tell Us All Who The Good Dealers Are! :)

I've seen a couple of threads today talking about good dealers and good experiences, so let's start a thread devoted just to that! Tell us all who your favorite dealers are, and as many details as you're comfortable with. image

Duval Coins, Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. Don't know his name but a great guy willing to help a newbie.

Do a search, there are multiple threads dedicated to this.

Some may cringe but I have had great dealings with Legend and David Lawrence. I have heard great things about Mark Feld.

Tim Puro, Rutland, VT (VTCoins on the board) is a fair guy -- or more than fair -- with a decent array of collectorish stuff and a conservative grading eye. He's a good one to buy from or sell to, and you cannot say both of those things about all that many coin dealers.

When in Wisconsin, near the Wisconsin Dells, about 19 miles from the Dells is a very small town called "LaValle". As You pull into town, just before the only left turn, there is a small Antique Mall and Coin shop called E & S Coins. Ed is also a farmer and works in a small foundry while Sandi is at the shop most of the time!
They are very nice people, Very knowedgable on coins and VERY reasonable prices! If He can't get it He has a friend who pretty much can get what You want! He even submits my coins to be graded by either PGCS or NGC, He is a member of both! He does'nt charge me for any extra charges, Just The slabbing fee and shipping, handling and insurance, no hidden fees! image

I have to put in a good word for Angel Dee's.

Every coin I have bought from them has been sight unseen, and every one of them has been a stunner.
I've never had to return a coin. I'll usually call Andy and get a verbal description from him so if it doesn't sound like something I'd like we don't waste time and money shipping stuff back and forth.

Of course, there are a lot of good dealers out there and a lot of threads on the subject, so I would suggest searching for them to see what others may have to say.

Some nice names on this list - though I would say the selection of a good dealer depends what you're buying.

    So, what are you buying?

The only two people I've bought from (to my knowledge, so far) are Daniel Carr and Al Palmeri (grip). I had good experiences with both. I haven't bought from any really good brick-and-mortar places recently.

Let's not forget those dealers that participate on this forum and take the time to share their knowledge with us. Julian Leidman, Laura Sperber, Mike Beyers, and Fred Weinberg come to mind but I'm sure there are many others.

Most of those dealers previously mentioned are good, but don't forget guys like Kevin Lipton, John Schuch and the folks at Spectrum...they're all good dealers as well.

Now, in regards to those dealers previously mentioned, how many people here have actually had good firsthand experiences with those dealers, and not recommending them based on secondary information or word of mouth from others?

    Carl's Coins - Carl Wohlforth
    David Lawrence Rare Coins
John Rosenthal - tonelover on the boards

and I expect I'll be able to add J.J. Teaparty to my list soon. I just purchased a nice looking Seated Liberty Dollar for my Dansco 7070 Type Set that's on it's way to me right now.

Heritage is NOT the old Heritage.

They get the great coins, they run the best auctions, they are more accomodating then most people know and every aspect of their customer service is polite, efficient and very fast.

I've come 180 degrees since 4 years ago and I am a good customer as a result.
