Here is one for you, this is a sealed box of 25 1964 proof sets, I now own the box. What about the picture really got me thinking that I had to have this box?

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    The address? It looks/sounds familiar. And why is there a 39 between the city and state?

    All it proves is that it was mailed before the post office started using zip codes. Best I remember that was around 64 or 65 but Im old and my memory isnt what it used to be .

    If you trust Wikipedia, ZIP Codes wree introduced on July 1, 1963, but not made mandatory until 1967. Maybe you've seen other sealed boxes of 1964 proof sets that used the now-familiar five-digit ZIP code and you figured this box must be from earlier in the year?

    So if that's got 1964 sets in it and the package was shipped before zip codes which means it was shipped before 1964 that means the entire box must be first strikes!
