just added 2 new collectors

A neighbors 2 girls came to see me yesterday and was looking at my Indian Head pennies so I gave them both a couple of them. Now they are dragging their mother to the local coin shop today. They are hooked on IH pennies now. The kids are happy but the mom gave me a dirty look. LOL. I hope this is the beginning of a life long hobby for them both.

    That's the way you do it! You gotta catch 'em while they're young. IHCs, Buffalo nickels, Mercury dimes -- these all make for good numismatic seeding. I know some of you guys have bucketfuls of this stuff -- spread it around!

    sure, get the poor kids addicted so they can spend their life savings on coins and wind up on skid row image

    I bought 4 rolls of half dollars the other day. Unfortunately I didn't find anything worth keeping. But I've had lots of fun using them to pay for things. I suspect most of the young cashiers I've been giving them to have never seen a half dollar.

    Nice job w/ the IHC's. When I was babysitting a couple of kids last summer (2005) I gave the two boys an IHC and a Buffalo Nickel each. They both got quite interested, but I don't know if they have done anything seriously w/ collecting yet.
