Had I known not to open the mint package, it would have been in a First Strike holder as well. Oh well.

By the way, this was a quarterly freebie submission.

Congrats also. I sent one in with the quarterly freebie and scored a PR 70 on the silver reverse proof as well. I know the feeling. My other two with the set scored a 69, which is not bad.

    Hey collectorMan

How did you send in more than one item with the collector club freebie? I'd like to know how this works. Three coin set, still sealed. Reverse proof free and PR and MS at regular price? All get 20th anniversary labels? Let us know.

Do you really suck or are you just shrewd? By shrewd did you look at your 10 sets and pick the one coin that you believed was a 70 and sent it in? Or did you just buy one set and send it in and get lucky?

Ten? I only received three so far. I have three more on order. I sold two sets on ebay, kept the one I thought was best. I was thinking PF69 and only submitted it because it was free.

Shrewd? Shrewd had nothing to do with it.

    Dennis,

Congrats my friend. I just did the same exact thing. Sent in ONE coin on free quarterly grading and made a PR70. I "had a feeling" about the coin, so I went ahead and paid $5 for the TrueView pic. Boy am I glad I did.

THE COIN IS FOR SALE HERE NOW!!!!!

    TCoins,

Sorry I'm late getting back in touch with you on this. I actually sent in 9 coins to be graded. Three of the coins were one set of the 20th anniversary silver eagle set. The other coins were the 4 piece 1995 W gold eagle set, and 2 Franklin silver half dollars. I did not pay any grading fee for any of the coins. I was able to use the quarterly freebe which I earmarked on one submission form for the silver reverse proof. I used 8 free submissions from my PCGS renewal subscription for the second submission. I called PCGS ahead of time and they told me to do it this way. I picked the best of the eagle sets to send in (I ordered 4 sets). I did not get the FS (which I really don't care about) on the 3-piece silver eagle set, but PCGS did put the 20th anniversary statement on the three eagles. The only monies I actually paid was the postage and having PCGS make the pictures for archive purposes. The pictures were $5.00 per eagle coin. The pictures look good to me.

They also sent my box back to me. I had to call them about the box, because when the coins arrived, the eagle box was missing. After calling them back several times about my missing box, they finally sent me my box and did not charge me the $2.00 box return fee. A few days after I finally received my eagle box, they sent me another eagle box (without charge).
I don't know how that happened here. I'm going to call them and see if they want to pay for the return postage to send the second box back. I don't want to keep it, because it's really not mine.

    Hope this helps.

    CollectorMan
