Now that Miles Standish has rejoined PCGS. has the grading changed?

Many of us thought that PCGS was grading tough last year - especially me on MY coins! image

So, now that Miles Standish rejoined PCGS, has anyone noticed any change in how tough PCGS is grading, and if so, any particular coins or series getting tougher or easier?

    I would doubt that Miles departure or return would change the grading standards at PCGS. He was there for many years and gone for only a short time.

    Rumors are that things have eased up.

    I haven't noticed a change as of yet. Although they haven't changed the slab label yet either. image

    Rumors are that things have eased up.

    I know you say this is a rumor, but I hate it when things like this happen - I just sent in my largest submission dollar wise a few months ago (which would have been before Miles returned). And I did basically take a beating on the grades I got. Now, rumors are that they have eased up? Just my luck it seems sometimes.

    Russ, yes Miles Standish has rejoned PCGS. See the Q&A thread for the official answer.

    I would guess that there is a very long lead time from creation of advertising copy till you actually see it - and they could not pull the ad in time.


    I sent in 13 coin economy with 2 PO-1 hopefuls in it, plus a 6 coin crossver today. I held onto the PF61 Morgan for now.
