Three legal cases I am handling have gone to mediation this month. All three settled, the last one being yesterday in San Fransisco during a 7+ hour mediation (10.5 hours contuing commute time).

A pretty good feeling seeing disputes resolved via settlement instead of clients demanding their day in court only to later on regret spending the time and money to do so, even if they win a favorable ruling.

So, should I buy a coin to celebrate? If so, what kind do you suggest I buy?

    It really depends on the total fee you received, or will receive. About 22 years ago I was on vacation in the Pocanos, called my office and leaned that I had settled a nice negligence case. Bought a bottle of Dom Perignon with dinner that night. Not a very good investment, but it sure tasted good (less than $100 back then). If your fee is a hefty one, think about a better date gold coin in a PCGS holder...plus the bottle of bubbly.image

    i would by a choice vf or higher small planchet pine tree shilling they aRE mucho scarcer choice vf and above especially so xf au and above then their earlier large flan pine tree bigger and older brothers

    or buy a nice choice vf flowing hair dollar 1795

    or how about a choice vf flowing hair half dollar 1795

    lets see a piece of territorial gold coinage?? something mintstate like a sexy smaller demonination clark gruber

    or how about a sexy choice unc classic head quarter or half eagle

    I didn't realize you could settle stuff by meditation. Did you have to chant "ommmmmm" for a long time, and sit in that danged uncomfortable lotus position?

    Yepper...you deserve a Clark and Gruber for that stupendous effort...maybe in the $10 pcgs au53-58 area.

    Actually, I think Andy's reply is probably the best. If I decide to buy something, I will just figure it out and decide for myself.

    A Peace Dollar may be appropriate.
    A well struck high relief 21 if you feel really good about it.

    How about a "peace" dollar image. Or if you really made out well, and the mediation fees were not too high, and you are actually going to be paid for your time, why not buy the platinum with the representation of the law (legislation and muse)?
