Update on Camera Tethering and Remote Coin Photos

I went ahead and downloaded the Breezy Systems DSLR Remote Pro
and tethered it to my Canon EOS 20D.
The downside here is this is a Windows program and I'm very much a Mac guy, however I have an XP box and actually where I want to set up my mini studio is right next to the XP machine so using Windows is a no-brainer for this, I guess.
I really like the software and as soon as I snap I have it open Canon's DPP software photo manipulation program for their RAW (CR2) files. I get the shot, I can see what it looks like and make instant corrections, and edit and save in one swoop. Then I can drop the same image in Coin Manage and then in my Filemaker Pro Home Inventory. Tethering really makes sense for me in this regard.
Taking photos from the card and them opening them is too time consuming for me and not every photo is a keeper. Say I'm shooting 10 coins. Coin image 4 is blurry so it's back and forth and it really kills my workflow and train of thought. (If you knew me you'd know the train left the station a looooonnnggg time ago)
I love this tether action and it stinks I'll have to kick up a $100 for this software but it solves an immediate need for me and lets me start a project or two that I've been slacking on for some time because I knew how hard it would be.
The DSLR Remote Program is head and shoulders over the Canon Remote software, which of course I can't even get working.
I like this and see it as a valuable tool.
