Any Advice. I feel I have an MS67 Franklin---++ UPDATED PICS INSIDE++

It is in a PCGS MS66 now. I am looking for some detailed pics of other 67s to compare. Mine has what looks to be a flake on the reverse that looks like it is peeling up. Any ideas what this would be and would it hurt the grade These are what I have for now

Here is a pic to show the flake(not a good one but best I can do) Located a 2 o'clock

These are better
Most of what you see is scratches on the slab.

Only neg I see is a slight striking weakness. On the first pic it looks as if there is some weakness in the peripheral lettering on the reverse, but then again, could be just the pic, because the lettering looka fuller in the smaller pic.
I think they like to see some sideburn detail, but if everything else is all there...maybe. The planchet flake should not affect the grade.
It's dang nice regardless of what the holder says!

The luster should be superb, or I would not try. Also, your primes need to be very, very clean
Obv shows a milling mark on Bens shoulder and perhaps a tic on the cheek? right behind the flare of the nostril?
Rev milling mark series between the straps on the bell hanger is perhaps the coins biggest detriment.
Is that a V-shaped scrape across the bell cracK? or just on the plastique??
With a mark on each side, a Franklin would have to have absolutely astounding luster to get the 7 from PCGS IMHO.
Nice coin for sure! 1957-D's are often among the cleanest in the series though.

The obverse is a good strike by looking at the depth of Franklin's nose bridge, but I would like to see more lines in his hair (could be pix) hits on bust
On the reverse, the eagles wing feathers are weak on the left and for some reason the OF looks a bit weaker than the rest of the letters. (again, could be pix) hits on bell bridge
All in all it's a very nice MS-66 but I think you might be pushing the envelope to obtain a 67, but this is just an opinion looking at pictures.
There are very strong reasons there is such a low population for MS-67's Franklins...I think this is a prime example. The graders are going to be looking for an almost flawless coin for this series.
I have no idea about the flake you speak of on the reverse...this could be a real issue and it may behove you to keep this coin in the holder as is. It would be ashame if we were to lead you in the wrong direction...take the coin to a PCGS affiliated dealer and have them take a look at it before even thinking of a crack-out!
