Should I report this Ebay seller for key word spamming the QDB name?

What do you think?

Ebay

On a more serious note, Heritage has a lower feedback than I would have thought.

As for the Morgan, it's just about average for an O mint, weakly struck above the ear. There's some distracting marks on the face, but nothing unexpected for a 63.

This is a good example of how reputation serves you. Indeed, this board would find the auction title to be keyword spamming if it were an unknown seller. Since it was Heritage, nobody came forward with the "go for it" and "I'll report him if you don't" replies we usually see on a thread like this.

Secondly, Amanda, your observation about feedback is right on point. Heritage, I'm sure, believes their reputation is more important than e-bay feedback and even tends to ignore it. Even the positives mention slow shipping and they don't respond to give their side of the negs. In the non ebay world making 98% of the customers happy is pretty good. Perrhaps they don't understand that ebay is different. Ignoring "minor" complaints from the unheeled masses helps build a snooty image, as well.

However, if this were an unknown seller with 98% feedback there would be several posts recommending "avoid" and "run".

    Cheers,
    Jerry

Looks more like shipping and communication to me.

I believe Heritage's negative feedback stems from poor communication with buyers.
  • Isnt it Heritage that routinely lists their items incorrectly with cheap buy it nows? Or am I thinking of another Auction House on Ebay.
If it is them, im certain the negs. come from some of those travesties.

In defense of Heritage, I suspect the low ebay feedback rating has alot to do with inexperienced ebay buyers who bid and buy their Signature auction coins in that venue.

The legitimate antique and coin auction houses that also sell through ebay all seem to have "low" feedback ratings (like 98% feedback). I suspect it is due to shipping and payment misunderstandings with people unfamiliar with the way "ebay Live" auctions really work (i.e. 20% buyers fees, not accepting PayPal or credit cards, etc.).

Heritage is certainly a reputable seller by anyone's standards.
