Nolan Ryan card question

I'm puzzled about this card/ box bottom, and figured someone here would know the answer.

Any ideas where this came from?

    I'm not positive...

    But back in 1990, Topps put a bunch of star cards on the bottom of the boxes.

    The value is not immense - and of course, subject to condition problems due to the handling.

    I don't have any 90T boxes.

    edit: just checked the catalog - I was right about the panels but they used the same design as the regular cards.

    Nevermind...

    I think it came out of a price guide where they would have tear out card board pages 3 cards to a strip, didn't last long as they didnot have Topps permission. Just a guess.

    I saw where you asked people over at the new Topps forum.

    They didn't know either.

    I like where one guy said - don't ask guys on the forum - ask one of the big boys like Olbermann or Lemke.

    I gotta say - if anyone is gonna know - it would be Lemke - he is the senior guy on the big catalog.

    They WILL know the answer there and will be happy to discuss any Ryan card with you.

    it came from a counterfeiter (sp).....thats is an uncut, reprint of the real Ryan rookie......not a very good job since the paper quality of the reverse is way off....the real card shows no grains on the stock.....

    im sure cards EXACTLY like this (cut well) have sold on ebay as authentic through the years...remember this was the hottest card before grading companies emerged.....it was one of the most counterfeited cards (along with 1980 Ricky Henderson)....
