Oh my lord! I've been posting on this site for over 5 years and will continue to because I've been a coin collector for 30 years, you whackos. I know it's going to be hard to talk about coins and act like we're over 12, but try ... just ... try.

I have a nagging question (no not about my wife) it's about my 1997-P Business strike Kennedy. In one it looks like JFK is wearing a hearing aide...anyone else ever notice this? .......hearing aide...........................regular strike

Oh no, you're not gonna get me to carry your thread for you. 1958 Canada. I'm too busy trying to trick/goad sunnywood into doing a hand image of a BC morgan in another thread.
And what's all this fuss about an interview at your place? It's becoming quite the topic. Any place that won't let Lucy in, I ain't goin either. You even let TurtleBilly in, didn't you?

Carry a thread for me? It is what it my man .. Canadian! I knew I recognized that image .. I couldn't put my finger on it.

To get full access by me you have to simply post a greeting (it serves many purposes - and you can see them in the Say Hello forum - it's just a hello then I will transfer you asap). Before that, it also included answering a question about having read the Intro post but I have gotten around that by asking you to confirm having read it when you register. Because I didn't allow instant access to everything (Gallery, Classifieds, forums) and wanted to chat with new arrivals for a minute, people were calling it an "interview." I don't know who TurtleBilly is and can't confirm since they may have used a different name. I didn't not let Lucy in - feel free to PM me about that if you like because I don't think it's right to discuss that here.

Sorry, I've made it well known that I won't discuss thread stuff in pm's. Has to be out in the open. Anyway, sounds juicy, might really spice up this thread. Let's hear it!

I have to assume that this place has redfined "ADULTS" the way it has "FIRST STRIKE." [/i ------------------------ Or.....we could just have 2 definitions for "First Strike" like NGC does.
I read the 2 article in this week's Coin World with a big smile on my face.
I never bought into the "first strike" baloney.
I can't believe how many people have been suckered in by that marketing ploy.
DMPL can be more about striking pressure than first strike.
A higher pressure will create more heat, causing crystalization of the surface metal which gives that frosty luster and cartwheel effect.
A lower strike pressure will create less heat and less surface crystalization, so the flat fields will show a smoother surface and be more reflective....ie....PL and DMPL fields.
Hi pbfloyd - it was just a thread I started for all to discuss coins with each other. Like I stated I collect colonials, don't know a whole lot about Morgans, never owned a DMPL or learned much about them. I think they are awesome looking coins and appreciate them from a bullion perspective too.

ah.. but can it also cause the cameo effect on the devices?
Hi Bochiman! That was good, solid advice and I see your point My feelings are crushed and I feel inferior now, but hey, no pain no gain, right?
Having a good Friday night? I have a fugio cent in front of me right now. It's circulated, like 99.9% of my collection, so I can handle it freely. Do you have any coins like that hanging around your desk as you surf?

That would have been more appropriate for a PM, this is not an advertising or spam board. And a thread titled "coins" with the content of "discuss" is probably more appropriate for a board with less substance (like yours) as well.
Goose darling, I believe others are obsessing and trying to talk about my site while I am trying not to. I was in the mood to be light and talk coins but it seems this forum is quite dominated by people with an entirely different emotional agenda.
Coins, goose, talk coins. What do you collect, anyways?

Why Hi Robert, sorry to see you spending your intellegence being angry and negative. Come on man, lighten up. Again, I seem to be one of the few people who want to talk about coins.
Robert - what the heck do YOU collect?

Oh, and stop with the spamming bull, if I wanted to spam out and not get in trouble I would spend the days answering questions, posting info, discussing everything ... but instead, here I am at a relatively slow time, a Friday night, with my one damn thread a week, so shaddap. Now tell me what you collect damm it!

Ah yes, COIN is an interesting word. It comes from the Latin word for wedge and refers to the process of minting (coining) a coin. It is a rare exceptional case where a noun crept into the language from a transitive verb, whereas the opposite is quite common due to popular vernacular. In the past, one would coin gold or coin silver, not mint a coin.
Coxe, that ties into the origin of "to coin a phrase." To coin something. Someone was having a tagline contest here for their business and I submitted a few entries playing off of that.

Let me know when you are talking about COINS, you Blowhard.
A thread titled "COINS"...Discuss?
Maybe it's a really just a thread for your "High Quality Kool-Ade Drinking Jonestown Nuthouse" sigline??
Ha ha "Saintguru," very funny. Like I'm going to believe that is you. Some junior highschool kid has obviously hacked into Saintguru's account, so if someone wants to report this it might be doing Saint a favor. Meanwhile, back to coins.
Saint, I have a question for you (the adult version when he gets his account back) since you collect gold - what do you think of the Gold Buffalo design? Pretty formidable, eh? At first I wasn't sure but now I LOVE it.

Lame.
If you can't be specific, or even less generic, then you should go boot some people or interview them again.
Even "Modern crap vs classics" is better than just using the old OF "discuss".
