What did I miss? PayPal and Eaby

Since when did PayyPal make it so that you can't decline a payment with an unconfirmed address? Is this something new?

Several months ago?? About the time they started making sellers use a tracking # to protect themselves from the buyer protection policy.
My guess is too many honest people were delisting their credit cards because of fraud and PP was losing business. I delisted my credit card 3 years ago and that unconfirmed my address so I had to pass on auctions where the sellers required a confirmed address.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

My PayPal account still indicates that (US only) payments from users with unconfirmed addresses are blocked. Am I missing something here?

Are you sure about this? I try to use my unconfirmed mail box address whenever possible; But I am still rejected every now and then, and have to use my confirmed address. My last rejection from a seller on this issue was 3 days ago. Double check your selling preferences, you may have accidently checked the wrong box.

That happened to me the other day so I called Paypal to ask what was going on. I was told that if someone pays multiple sellers at one time there's a loophole which allows payments to go through, even if some of the sellers do not accept from unconfirmed addresses. The Paypal rep said that they were aware of the problem and are working to fix it........

I don't know if it's true but if so that's one heck of a loophole. Imagine the scammer's delight when they figure that one out, and of course Paypal would fight you if there was a problem because you took payment from someone with an uncomfirmed address. image

I just to talked to PayPal also. It seems they did a software change a little while back so that now you have to click the "accept" link in order to get to the "deny" payment limk.

Kind of silly but you can still deny a payment from an unconfirmed address. They had me sweating bullets there for awhile!

The loophole about multiuple payment has been there for over a year. Happened to me as well.

They don;t care, or they would have fixed it.
