Question for Ebay Paypal users, my sending limit is used up

Sorry for posting it here but the Ebay boards are run by Ebay/Paypal, so I can't ask this question there. Apparently even though I have over $350 available funds my sending limit has been reached, I didn't pay attention to it as it apparently ran out. So for sending money via Paypal I would have to give them my bank account info, which gives them direct access to my only source of money, which I want to avoid. If I request to have my account cancelled will they offer to give me another spending pool? Anyone here face a similar situation? What did you do? Thanks in advance.

Set up another account at the bank, most banks have little or no minimum account balance. Then give them that information. If you need to send money to PayPal or withdraw from it, transfer money to your second bank account then transfer it to PayPal, or going the other way, empty the second account any time you transfer money out of the PayPal account.

A real novel approach to the problem might be to quit buying.

I am with roper on this one. I have a seperate checking account at my bank that I use for Paypal. I would never let them have exposure to my main account.

My neighbor uses another bank for his 2nd acc. Pp took $ from a drained acc and his bank yanked it from another acc he had. It all came down to the SS#.

That's why my PayPal linked account is at a different bank than my other accounts.

Yikes! I did not know they could hit an acount from the same bank if it was not linked. Sounds like I will have to find a second bank!

    Yup. That's how I roll.

Also, always pull that cash out quick and get it to a safe bank. With paypal you never know when you'll be robbed.
Everything I write is my opinion.

They can't unless the accounts linked at the bank for overdraft protection. And that is something banks will frequently do automaticly as a "convienience" for their customers unless you specificly tell them not to.

NO-ONE should be taking money from any account without your express approval. As long as the accounts are not linked and you haven't given the bank permission, they better keep their hands OFF!!!!!!!
