Warning for you sellers about what a bunch of friggin' morons work at PayPal.

I just got a pending reversal notice from PayPal for a transaction done with eBay bidder reddog4334. The notice is based on unauthorized funds, which generally means stolen or misused credit card. This bidder has bid on, and continues to bid on, a lot of coins. I'd suggest adding them to your blocked bidder list at least for the time being. It may turn out that they are legit and PayPal is wrong, but better safe then sorry.

New paypal spoof email. Got one today with my name on it and other official infomation. Sent to PayPal and it is a definite spoof.
These are getting more and more sophisticated every day.
Let's see, to contact them, all I have to is respond and log in with my user name and password.
It's scary out there.

That's certainly true, and would explain the bidding pattern. But, it doesn't explain why she wouldn't be at least temporarily suspended from eBay to prevent further fraud - if, indeed, there is any fraud going on. PayPal seems to think so, and one would think they'd take action.

I had a similar problem with a buyer (possible "unauthorized funds") a few months ago, with this twist- my buyer was also a seller. PayPal thought that he (my buyer) had been paid with "unauthorized funds" for one of his auctions, but since he didn't have any money in his PayPal account, they took back the money he had already paid me.
Eventually, they (PayPal) figured out that nothing was amiss and put the money back in my account, but for some reason, they never bothered to let me know- I found out about it from my buyer.
"Friggin' idiots" is being generous.
Next time I'll make sure to read everything before I do something, especially with dialup!
All 4 of my bidders have received their AGE sets- All left positive feedback - and I am still waiting for Pay Pal to release my funds and restrictions on my account.
Meanwhile, they're saving interest on $17,000 for several weeks now!
I will not use Pay Pal again in the future for any high priced items.
