Who is "uncommons" on eBay?

This seller is uncanny. It seems that every time I spot a card that I need...and a tough one, at that...it is one of his/her/their listings. Good stuff, and good prices and good service, too.

Never really heard much about them until a few months ago, it seems...

If you ever have time do a cert check on some of the certs surrounding the cards he frequently puts up for sale. What you find may unsettle you.
  • Boots..dont get it....I checked certs and found 8s and 9s. That woundnt be unsettling to me but Id be pretty happy if they were my grades.

I don't think I understand what boopotts means...I've bought lots of cards from uncommons...entered them all in the Registry with no validation problems...???

    Am I missing something???

I started this thread to compliment who I thought was a good quality seller, but a seller whom I knew nothing about.

I haven't taken the time to look, but I assume he's trying to say that's there's lots of "evidence of trimming" cards included on his orders.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I don't know Steve but a good friend of mine does a lot of business with him. He bought his incredible 1971 Topps Set from him back 6 years ago. He has a very good eye and definately knows his stuff. I believe he was a grader at PSA back at the beginning.
