    Where is a 70?
  • Wonders Never Cease---St.Louis Cardinals
  • when did you submit them?
  • I just got mine in the mail too. I was less fortunate. I sent one set and got:

    MS68
    PR68
    PR69DCAM

Probably the last time I do the "First Strike" thing. I dont like the idea of not seeing the coins first. The Mint also need to tighten the QC on the ASE.

I shipped them on the the 20th, they got logged in on the 24th and posted the grades on the 26th and shipped them on the 27th.. They got Speedy Gonzalez working there.

70's are tough on this set. You gotta go to NGC to get one of those.

  • I think PCGS should have offered a minimum "no grade" option since we couldn't see the coins first. If you were going to get a 68 send it back to me ungraded. I know, they would make less money, and its probably wholly unfeasible. Its just kind of aggravating when four out of five reverse proofs submitted are pr 68. Two of them I would have sent back to the mint, because they had obvious marks under the L in liberty. Oh well, I guess the risk was obvious. I didn't even dream almost all of them would do that poorly.

The ASE/SAE reverse proofs were minted in Philly not at West Point where the AGE/GAE were minted. I will almost bet you that the quality control is not as tight in Philly as it is in West Point.
