Picked up a new Lincoln this weekend. (Update in first post)

Edit: Just received the coin. It's the prettiest reverse I've ever owned. Absolutely jumping with color and the fields are flawless. The obverse has more color than the pic indicates...there's a crescent of purple-red from 4-8 o'clock.

The best part, which I can say now that it's in hand, $20.10 total cost. image

It is in a 67RB ANACS holder.

Incredibly clean fields, very mark free.

They look to be. I don't have the coin in hand yet though.

nice coin, that spot on the cheek concerns me. I bought a couple of nice cents off of teletrade awhile back, and those tiny little area like that turned out to be a HUMONGOUS eyesore! Almost like green gunk on it. Their pics were very deceiving. But with a 67 design., unlikly to be that big of an eyesore. Oh, the cents went back to Teletrade...QUICK!

beautiful reverse on that coin RW! Lovely color and it looks like it'll be very attractive in-hand.

3 carbon spots on the reverse? Gimme a break, you'll barely be able to see them in person, those are miniscule.

I would be more concerned with the anomolies in the obverse field that don't show up well in the photos...looks like something in the field between the nose and the last 'T' in trust, also something above the 'B' in liberty. These may be artifacts from the slab, but they may also be on the coin. They are in the darker part of the photo.

Anyway, you are always going to find things on any coin, that's why they're not all graded MS70image

    Nice pickup!

Good grief! Those fields are flawless. That thing looks like a 68!

I hope it is as clean as the pics indicate. I think the strike is a bit weak for a PCGS 67 but a pretty coin like this I could care less between 66/67. image

RW...I don't think the strike is too weak for a 67 at PCGS

not to take away from your coin, but this is graded 67RB by PCGS. The reverse strike is pretty flat on the 'O' in one, and 'E PL' as well.

The reverse on your's looks to be even a bit softer maybe. Thanks for that comparison and you can feel free to post 100 more of your Lincolns because I love to look at them!

    RW..Thanks!

Yeah, mine is definitely not as well struck as yours is on the reverse. I suspect the luster would be what determines whether yours goes into a PCGS 67 holder or not, as long as the photo is not 'hiding' anything.

  • Amazing reverse!

That reverse field looks silky smooth.

Hope those carbon spots aren't detracting.

lol...nope this one's a keeper. Of course even the coins I buy to flip end up keepers...I don't think I'd make much of a dealer! image
