These were all found over the last 18 months or so. The Morgan is the only silver dollar I've ever found with a metal detector. It's an 1883 S, wish it was 10 years newer. image

You've found lots and lots of Barbers, I guess we would hear you all over the country if one of the dimes was an 1894-S! Congrats.

    nice finds

Collect raw morgans, walkers, mercs, SLQ, barber q. Looking at getting into earlier date coins pre 1900s.

  • Nice coins! imageimage
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.

Well, I suggest you keep looking. They made 24 and we only now where about 9 of them are; that means there's around 15 somewhere unless they've been melted.

"Free"? I think I see a lot of invested time and energy looking and digging contained in that pile... and a lot of fun and excitement too, VERY nice finds! image

I mainly hunt old yards and construction sites in the old part of town. Sidewalk renewal in the old business districts are usually good.

Nice work! I have yet to dig a Seated half, or a dollar of any kind (except a Sac).

Did somebody say "sidewalk renewal in the old business districts"? The sidewalks in front of Old City Hall in my hometown have just been taken up! Old City Hall was built in 1886, if I remember correctly.

Guess where I'll be and what I'll be doin' when the sun comes up and I get off from workin' graveyard shift? image

Lordmarcovan, if City Hall was built in 1886, I suggest you look for halves, quarters and nickels!
