Home U.S. Coin Forum

How do some people spend so much time on this forum?

Are you retired, and sit by the PC all day?

Are you a coin dealer, in a coin shop, in front of the computer all day?

Are you independently wealthy and don't need to work?

I'm sure I'm leaving out a plethora of other possibilities.

Sound off -- I am really curious image

With a current rating of 1.69 posts per day I guess I don't spend a whole lot of time on this forum. I come and go in spurts as time allows.

I do computer consulting all day, mostly through remote access so I am in front of my computer and I need the distraction.

I have a few computers in my office -- one of the monitors typically has this forum on it, and I drop by for a few minutes many times a day...Mike

  • During the day I run my brothers carpet shop (I can't install anymore). If there aren't any customers in the store, I'm on the computer. On thirds I work admissions at the local hospital. If my work is caught up and it's a slow night I have my laptop with me and I plug into the phone lines to access my dialup account. They have highspeed internent access on all the hospital computers, and right after they installed it they told us all not to use it except for hospital purposes. Of course everyone uses it for their personal use as well, but for some reason admissions was singled out and we were told that if we used it we would have out paychecks docked for the usage. No other department is under this restriction. So I use my dialup and bypass their system so they can't moniter my usage.

I'm not a dealer, that's for sure! My Harley has internet access. If you see me going down the road dragging a wire behind me that's my T-1 line.

    Yep, that's me.

Besides, it can be advantagous to know what's going on. Like not missing out on Gold Eagle sets.

I'm in the biz, so I'm on the computer either working on a spreadsheet of some kind, updating our website, tooling ebay or a gazillion differentcoin sites around the world and I stop by this forum in between other stops.

  • I am disabled and un-able to work! I sit home all day as I am un-able to walk so I sit by the computer and kill time by going on this forum! Not being able to work sucks but I have to deal with it! (My Wife has 2 jobs).
Between My S.S. check and My Wife's 2 paychecks, I am able to purchase 1 or 2 pieces of Gold a month.
