Usual limitations on image assessment.

The NGC obv looks better. (but has marks on the Heritage blowup) My rev looks better.

to me.

Tried a 64 cross and didn't go. Even though it FAR surpasses any 64 they have in their book.

Whatcha think? NGC give a higher number? Number game only, it seems.

Mine's covered with red toning. Lotsa orange peel.

The NGC coin has a better strike and unbroken frost.

If it's in a 63 holder, they wouldn't/shouldn't consider it for a 64 crossover. Did you mean re-grade instead of crossover, perhaps?image

Submit it enough and it has a shot at 64 (I'm serious).

No - you should be happy where it is. If it goes up, more likely than not it will go to 64 CAM .... which I'm guessing is worth about the same.

In my experience, 63 DCAM and 64 CAM are the same as AU58 and MS61. image

You know what I mean - on any given day a coin can be designated as either ... and the values aren't that different.

It's a nice looking coin but the orange peel is probably why it's graded 63.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

Topstuff - your sigline 'thing' is messing with my computer.

Not likely... orange peel is a desirable trait on classic proofs, and if anything would give the TPGs more confidence that the coin hadn't been messed with...

My first impression is your coin seems to have far fewer hairlines, so on the surface seems to be a better coin. I think you stand a good chance to get it in 64 plastic, but don't think it will go 65 -- but proof gold is nowhere near my speacialty...Mike

  • I do agree with Longacre! It could make a 64! Nice Coinage, I wish I had one!! image
