This is really only a nice thing if you're doing Fixed Price Listings or high starting bid listings... most people list their auctions for 99c starts anyways, which is a 20c insertion fee...
It's easy to list stuff with a start of 99 cents when you have mainstream pieces that are sure to find a buyer. I'm listing oddball stuff that depends on catching the right person's eye. I'd rather give myself some protection. The special pricing saves me money even for items that I start at $9.99 or $24.99 And I have several pieces that I'll be starting for $200-$600, cross-posted to two categories. I'll save $8 per on those.
Bottom line: I was planning on listing stuff this weekend anyway. I figure I'll save close to $50-$100 by posting tomorrow. I can't argue with that.
Why do I always miss these posts until the day later? Well, I don't think I have anything worth listing right now anyway. But I could have dug something up.
I DO have a cordless phone kit I could list. Maybe next time.

I have been a collector for over mumbly-five years. I learn something new every day.
.... aaaaaand now several categories I like to search are overrun with "auctions" for high-priced junk. I swear, there are some people who list the same coins every time eBay runs a sale, and have been for years. Maybe they're hoping their sucker was born since the last discount listing day.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.
