Thought that I would beat Longacre

The Norweb sale is now up at the ANR site.

Very diverse, many, many rarities. It will certainly be an exciting sale.

The Zachary Taylor Gold Medal is TOO neat!!

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

I am interested to find out how much that medal goes for!

With 20 oz. of gold, melt is nearly $12,000, plus the priceless historical value.

A piece like that should really be in the Smithsonian.

They tricked us and decreased the secret number from the last sale! I never got a secret preview. :(

Why? So they can put it in storage so it never sees the light of day again?

So, you're choosing the rare coin instead of the puppy? image

I was hoping that with the change, they would try to have some images of the many lots containing 2 or more coins. I hope that in the future they will either have fewer multiple coin lots, or some type of imaging of them.

The Smithsonian took down their coin exhibit and most of their coins are now in storage.

Why would you believe 'the change' would have resulted in images of group lots?

Historically Stack's has had no images for individual lots below a certain value in addition to no images for group lots - ANR imaged every individual lot and has continued that practive in this session.
