Woohoo! AGE set graded well!

I am very happy to say that my one AGE set got the following!

1) PR70 Reverse Proof
2) MS70 Uncirculated
3) PR69DCAM for the Proof

I am actually thrilled with the MS70 as that is a much lower percentage on the pop report. Only about 14% are actually getting MS70 grades whereas the Reverse proof is much higher.

Anyone got a PR70DCAM Proof with both the 20th anniversary and first strike designation they want to sell so I can complete my set?

Woohoo!

Swest

Looks like the true rarity on these coins are going to be the MS/PR68's

I am starting to think that the rare coin in this overall may be the MS70 Uncirculated. Due to the two coin set, there were quite a lot of them submitted yet much less 70s. Also, if you included the additional value the market is giving for 20th anniversary AND first strike, it makes it interesting.

Right now if every single coin was graded and the percentages hold, there would be the following breakdown:

    5800 PR70 Reverse Proofs
    4500 MS70 Coins.

Obviously, not all will be graded and there are many more Uncirculated coins since they are being sold separately. However, I don't believe the individual uncirculated coins (outside of the set) can be labeled as 20th Anniversary. Anyone know the answer to this?

    Thanks!

The AU-58s and PR-58s will be tough too!

    Lol.

I was really surprised that is for sure. I think I may sell the Reverse and keep the other parts of it. That way I can raise some more coin money to buy what I really want which is a couple indians!

Not sure though as I have never had a 70 coin before, let alone two.

Well, there's a three coin PCGS 70's selling on ebay for $10,500 ending in 20hrs, just for reference.

I think you have some winners there.

Let's see if PT Barnum is right again.

Maybe the real rarity will be PF70 DCAM First Strike, 20th Anniversary, Ground Zero, Gerald Ford signed slab. image
