What a difference a photo can make - Before and After pics - PCGS AU58 Bust Half Dime

Picked this half dime up off of eBay recently. Paid about what I expected for it, strong type coin money but nothing crazy at all. The coin just arrived today and I'm very satisfied. The first set of photos are the sellers photos from the auction and show a nice AU half dime. The second set of photos are mine that I just took minutes ago and show that same coin but with it's actuall in hand colors. The coin is actually a bit nicer than my pics reveal...I still can't master photographing these while they are in the PCGS plastic. It's a very nice piece to look at and I had no idea it had such colors, a pleasant surprise you could say. If the auction photos had shown these colors I'm sure it would have sold for considerably more. Just goes to demonstrate the importance of accurate photos in auctions.

Not only is the coin more attractive than the ebay photos, but you got a decent price considering the uptick in prices for CBHD across the board with the latest issues of the Greysheet. You are building a very nice, eye appealling set!

Thanks. I wonder if the recent CoinValues articles could, in part, be responsible for some of the price hike.
