Why I love the Darkside (BIG pics)

Just got this piece in the mail today. It's a prime example of why I spend so much more time and money on world coins as compared to U.S. coins. I love early pieces, especially copper, in high grades. As much as I would like to own U.S. pieces from the late 18th century to early 19th century in MS65+, it's just not possible from a financial perspective.
This is a Danish 2 Skilling piece (roughly the size of a U.S. nickel) from 1810, graded MS66BN in an old NGC holder. Gorgeous purple and blue toning.
How much would the most common pre-1820 U.S. coin cost in MS66? My guess is that you couldn't touch anything for under $1,000.
By way of comparison, this came in at under $100.
An added bonus (at least in my opinion) is the degraded die state. The obverse shows the results of a pitted die, and the reverse is just rife with die breaks.
