Now, my dilemma with the ASE 3pc sets start...

Ordered 10 sets.
2 groups of 5 each.

First batch has arrived.

I will sell off some of the 10 sets but not sure if I will sell 2-3, 3-5, 5-7 or what.

So, if I keep the box sealed, I have to get all 5 sets graded (15 coins). That's a nice chunk of change. If I don't, the resale value may not be as high (why do the lemmings WANT "1st strike" and "20th anniversary" on the slabs anyway??).

I really want to open it up because, from the pics people have posted, the reverse proof looks damn nice! But........if I open them, the sets can't get slabbed as "1st strike 20th anniversary money grabbers".....

Oh, the dilemma.............

Ship a box off to get graded...sell em all.

Keep 1 for sale in mint packaging...roll in the other 4 or give em' to kids or such.

Thats what Id do. Youll make a nice profit and will practially have the 4 remaining free (if prices follow AGE trends..which I believe they will)

Ron, do what I have, open and enjoy and to hell with grading. Once they are are sold out and the fast buck artists have liquidated the price will sky rocket.

Btw...how many graded, labeled sets did YOU want?

GAT - yeah....tempted to do that. Mom ordered 1 herself even though I told her one of these would be hers....I had thought that one set of 5 would be for me and family members. Most bought their own though.

I'm a seller too. Mine are allready sold but I'm sure buyers would prefer to buy from a standup guy like you anyway.

These don't need to be graded; they are all MS or PF 69; as there is no such grade as perfect. Keep one box of 5 unopened and open the other box of 5. If you plan on just keeping these for an investment, don't open either box of 5.

Would PCGS [upon request] dip these like some forum members do to stabilize the surfaces and prevent the milk spotting which has plagued some of the slabbed ASE's? If not I probly wouldn't spend the $$$.
