Lincoln RPM photos

rmpsrpmsrmpsrpms Posts: 1,981 ✭✭✭✭✭
New member first post...

Trying out a new photo setup and hoping some other RPM collectors might recognize these. Also, comments on photos is appreciated. I used the Image Resizer PowerToy on XP to downsize the 2048x1536 images to 512x384 (a 4x downrez). Anyone else using this tool?

    Hey rmpsrpms, Welcome.
There are a lot of us variety hunters on these boards. Stick around and post your pics and by all means--ask those questions.
    Your pics are greatimage
One thing that a lot of posters do wrong is to not show part of the date when showing an RPM. Seeing the relation of the MM to the date can help, and sometimes is the only way, to ID a particular variety.
Great excuse to let me post a few pics of some of my finds.

Cool! I think there is nothing more gratifying than finding a Lincoln Cent RPM in change.

Very nice finds!!! There are many of us here who deal with RPM's .....

JRocco, I have that same RPM in my RPM set. I never knew it was undiscovered. I have several (more like 3-5) other unrecognized varieties that I plan on sending in when my cross-country season is over (give it 3 weeks granted we make it to state).

Also, awesome pics on those closeup RPM's rmpsrpms image

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I am overwhelmed by the number of responses to my post in such a short time. Thanks LindeDad for inserting the pics directly. My wife is just now getting her website online and I plan to host photos from there, but for now I just attached them. And RPMHunter, I'd love to compare extras/want lists. I've put a lot of extras aside over the years and still need quite a few Lincoln RPMs.

Thanks for the encouragement on the photos. I've just recently taken up coin photography and it's a real kick, and a serious challenge. I was encouraged to post my photos since I saw so many excellent ones here on the group.

I just realized also that the first pic (44D) is a doubled die (see the right side of 2nd 4) not RPM.

Now back to my original question: Does anyone recognize the RPMs (and doubled die...)? These are as far as I can tell unlisted by CONECA, but likely are listed by Wexler, but there is no ref book for the Wexler listings AFAIK or for CONECA doubled dies.

The 1944D exhibits Master Die doubling commonly found on the 44's. It is not a doubled die.

These are the only ones I have pictures of handy and only a couple of them that I know what RPM they are. I have a bunch only because I save any that I happen to find but have never really bothered to see what they are listed as.

    Nice coin JRocco!

I was lucky enough to find a bunch of these in a group of 56D BU Rolls I got on eBay a couple years back. Probably my best BU roll find. Your coin is about the same die state as mine. I've heard stories of earlier die state examples but have never seen one. It may be that the die was heavily ground after the mistaken S was punched, and there are no examples that have a super clear S.

    Anyway, I'll keep searching...Ray
