Is it best to leave in the mint capsules or remove and place them in a Saflip?

I leave mine in the mint capsules and put them in a flip. Hate to risk nicking the coin's surface.

I wonder if anyone has ever sent a coin encapsulated in lucite to PCGS for grading. That would be funny.
