Question about 1973 Topps commons

I started collecting baseball cards in 1973 and I literally have 1000's of them. Are common 1973's worth getting graded if I think they would be an 8 or higher?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

For commons, I wouldn't grade anything that doesn't have a good shot at a 9 unless it's one of the lowest population commons.
