Notice these are not in the Mint Error program anymore! I suspect they will now show up in the pop report. I also Like that they put the S-number on them (Which was a pleasant suprize when I open my shipment today!) The new FS-numbers are printed in the back of the new Vol. 2 Cherrypicker's guide with a conversion to S-numbers.

I am having a hard time finding room for my Photo Seal sticker!

This will be a big boon to variety collecting. Thanks PCGS (Ron Guth in particular, I suspect)

I really like the way they did that. Very classy.

I love it too, and it's about time they started carrying out variety notes on the holder.

Besides my not caring for the new FS numbers.......why is PCGS putting both, the new and old, on the holder?

    too much clutter.

Plastic collectors need it to help them organize.

Yes, Goose, I don't know why the old number have any reason being there. I suspect it is a transitional period. Not everyone has the new Cherrypicker's Guide yet. (as you well knowimage)

Does anyone know if they are doing all of the Cherry Picker varieties yet? They won't answer my emails, and there were many they would not even denote under the mint error program in the past.

Edited to add the question regarding cherry picker numbers. Did they release a new version of the first book having the new numbers?

The new FS-numbers are printed in the back of the new Vol. 2 Cherrypicker's Guide

I spoke with J.T. an Bill at the Whitman show. (J.T. is looking very healthy) They are going full steam ahead on a Fifth Edition (rather than republish 4.1). They expect it to be a 3-volume set in a slipcover. I am contributing pricing and additional varieties for the FE and Indians. They said they wanted a roundtable breakfast meeting with all contributoors at some future show (FUN?). With Whitman pushing them, I expect it won't get bogged down again. The expected publish date is 2008. (Goose - that's 2008, not 2018 or even 2108)

If I ever receive Vol 2 then maybe the new number will be helpful image

If J.T. is working on the FIFTH EDITION, maybe Goose3 could pay for it on pre-sale?image

    Lakesamman,

[edit] Looking for a pair of earings?

I didn't really intend to list coins that are for sale, since this is not the BST board. Sorry about that. I just wanted to show the new labels.

  • You big tease.

you show us the lables and not the coins.

Wow those are great lables but I buy coins????image
  • What is the significance of the "Eagle Eye Photo Seal" ?

  • << <i>Notice these are not in the Mint Error program anymore! >>

    So, how did you submit?

Regular service ? Did you pay the $15 extra for variety (as in VAM) service??

Is there a new variety tier? I checked the pCGS webpage for varieties and still only VAM's are listed.

  • Is PCGS on a quest just to see how much stuff they can cram into a slab insert? Maybe they should consider moving something to the back of the slab, such as the UPC and/or the certification number.

These were already graded by PCGS. I sent them for Variety service, $15 per coin. They retained their old seriel number. New coin numbers. Can't wait to see the Pop report! I got all these Pop 1's (so far)! image

Here's a cross reference for the Flying Eagle and Indian Cent Cherrypickers numbers New, Old, and Snow-# and description. The PCGS coin number is not the same as the non-variety (not even with a extra digit in front). It is a new sequence, probably all Cherrypicker's varieties.
