Should a website that is not available to all CU members be allowed to advertise on the BST???

  • My membership there was abruptly cancelled without any reason given. This is going to make it very difficult to view the goods for sale.

I'm not sure "advertise" is what is being done. It implys purchase or investment.

Ken, as you're so fond of saying: <<Still practicing at being a Forum Moderator?? >>

If you think it's inappropriate, check it out with the real moderators.

    Mark, I already have.

Do you have some kind of a problem with this post??

Maybe I should have labeled it "hypothetical"!!image

At this point, does anyone really care what FoundingFascist does..??

I fail to see the need to start yet another thread dedicated solely to him.

    Isn't his ego big enough?

He might do better having a membership drive.

I believe his thread is inappropriate on the CU BST boards. Overstock.com does not buy advertising space on eBay or Yahoo. Frank's motivation in running his forums is profit, and his "advertising" on the BST board is really a come on to sign up with his for-profit boards. That is unfair to the people who use the BST board legitimately.

I think the BST should be reserved for individual members conducting transactions amongst themselves. Once it goes commercial, then there is more of an obligation by CU to make sure the company doing the spamming...I mean "advertising" runs their business in a way that doesn't reflect poorly on CU. In this case, CU may want to look into how this spammer runs things. JMO.

Yes, this is a free country.
I'd sell lifetime warrantied stone-coated metal roofs over there, too...

Well said. The forum is specifically for BUYING, SELLING, OR TRADING COINS. There are no coins available in FF's post, indeed the coin aspect is only one segment of the classifieds at his site, and the post is off topic.

Some buyers here are "blocked bidders" by some sellers here so it that is the case here nobody should be allowed to advertise on the BST Board.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

This place is pretty fragile if it can be ruined by threads like this. How many threads like this are there, anyway? Got smoe links? image
  • The judgement calls I made are looking wiser by the day if you ask me. Anyone worth their salt would talk to me and judge for themselves anyway, so I don't know what this kind of posting accomplishes besides demonstrating why someone wouldn't want such embodiments of insecurity and immaturity to dominate their space.

I am Frank. I'm trying to get your for profit stuff off of the BST.

Now, go watch over your quickly declining flock.image
  • For profit? Oooooh so evil of me to try and break even in 7 years, and hopefully be able to fund some really cool things on the site. This is a love of mine and I will do it regardless. Anyway, you go for it bud. Noble purpose. The others in this thread have just clearly demonstrated that my judgement calls were on the money regarding their agendas and dysfunctions. You go on with your noble purpose though - you do it with the style of a demented teenager, but you go for it. I am not aware that someone with an auction/for sale venue, like an Ebay store, auction house, website, etc, can't advertise things for sale on it. This is not that big of a deal. All a mod has to do is PM me that they deleted my thread and tell me why and it's over.

I am sorry this is very emotional for you but I don't have a problem with my thread being removed if it needs to be. Feel better? My God!

    Ok,

I can see the complaints are legit, the BST really isn't a place to put an AD for a forum

Wonder what the CU stance on this issue is?

Anyone know, it would be interesting to hear their input into this matter

  • "Should a website that is not available to all CU members be allowed to advertise on the BST???"

One more thing, I forgot. The website *IS* available to all CU Members. Not a single person is banned and unable to register. Weak-minded assumers and followers may think so, but the truth is, it is available to all CU Members. Membership is free. Any questions? Don't assume, talk to me at my site or PM me here. I must now leave this thread before the residue sticks.

    Now, good day!

It is not available to all CU members.

And, once people see the myriad of hoops involved in becoming a member, nobody would want to join your facist society.

  • Where is the "who cares" option in this poll?

Some of you guys that are still reeling from closing of the open forum need to seek counseling. The little "jabs" taken here are beyond childish and you should be embarrassed. Go start your own forums where you can run them as you see fit and get the attention that you seek. Just do it somewhere else please.

After the OF closed the former OF members went to franks site, but opinions soon split the group and some went and formed the OFR

As for franks AD in th BST it does not belong there, so could someone get the mods to pull it

The BST is for selling, buying and trading coins and notes, not a place for AD's

  • "If I'm not banned, then why can't I log in... and why is my account deactivated?"

Have you tried contacting me directly and dealing with me, innocent Clarke? You can't log in and your account was deactivated because you engaged in behavior that made it crystal clear to me you were not appropriate for the site and have issues I wanted no part of. I had it with your crowd - is that really hard to understand? I am sure it is since you haven't talked with me about it. You are not banned because your IP is not blocked. There is nothing stopping you from registering again, even with the same name I believe, assuming you feel like changing your behavior. There really is no reason to be a Member by me if you want to engage in activities that mock it and turn off other Members, on or off the site. Why be there? Why would I want you there? It doesn't make sense.

Now, please, contact me outside of this thread because I need to stop reading it. It's absurd.

I love the onslaught of new members here with 5 posts and/or a few months under their belts crying that threads like this have ruined the board.

    image

Did someone hijack silverpop's account? what is up with him going against FascistFather!!? You will certainly pay for those posts!! I'd bet you probably have a pm or 2 waiting on you demanding an explanation of your posts here.

This has Zero to do with the OF. It has everything to do with the attitude of FascistFather, the purveyor of free speech and scantily clad girly threads......the same guy that bans and censors people for absolutely nothing other than disagreeing with him or not answering his demanding PM's to his liking.

It's only natural for people to pile on someone that practices "Do as I say, not as I do".
