It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

The cellophane was only used to protect the coin from tarnishing again... They just cleaned it and wanted it to look shinny.....

Just kidding but that what went throuhg my mind when I looked at the pic.....

"...which we did not want to remove"

They probably saw the massive amount of hairlines and knew it wouldn't sell, or....the cellophane has migrated into the coin. I would bet it isn't pretty under the wrapper. image

LOL MBT (that means Laughing Out Loud for us old people).
Here is a lesson for those who do not know how to link.

Put your cursor (that's the blinking arrow or line on the monitor) into the ADDRESS bar of the WEB PAGE.
When the cursor is in the address bar, simply RIGHT click with your mouse ( it looks sorta like a mouse with a wire that goes to the PC).
A small box will appear (drop down menu) , after the entire address bar magicallyl turns blue (computer people call it "HIGHLIGHTED"). Now scroll (that means drag your mouse on the mouse pad so the roller allows your cursor to slide down to the action you wish to take) down to COPY and LEFT CLICK your MOUSE (old people sometimes call it a "fishy")

VOILA~ you just saved information in that mouse's tummy. That's why it's got a little hump on it !

Okay, now come back to the forum and start your thread as usual. But when you want to share that link you take that mouse and click above in this box where there is a tab that says "http" and a whole bunch of other tabs. B I U (tv) http https ftp mail hr la la la la (ya still with me mate ?) Okay.

So click on the http link and a new box comes up.
Just put your cursor in that box and RIGHT CLICK with that mouse again. Scroll down to PASTE and LEFT CLICK. This will put that address into that window and then you click on OKAY
If you are successful to that point, another box will come up with a highlighted message saying "TEXT"

You type the word "LINK" or "TWOSIDE, yer a dork" or whatever you want... Then click okay and your link is PASTED into your MESSAGE WINDOW HERE.
Link To This Thread for MBT, cuz yer worth that extra time it took to 'splain

The hairlines look to be under the cello, not on it. The cello probably also obscures the "Made in China" stamp image

No. Seriously that looks like a nice coin. I have seen many old time collections with coins wrapped in cello. That's the way it was done many years ago.

I agree, but you have to seriously scratch your head as to why it was not sent in for certification if it's a nice coin and if it's authentic.

This risk is not worth $1900, IMHO.
