At our coin club meeting's monthly raffle.............

Granted its only a 1/10 ounce but a win's a win! Right?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.



The name is LEE!

    That is a nice coin club raffle win. You must be in a large club if they can offer gold in the monthly raffle.

    Actually, the club is not that large but we just took on 40 new applicants of which 20 or so may become serious members. We normally have a raffle of some type every month and have just recently begun some casual no reserve auctions. The gold coin was an attempt to see how well a "better" coin would fare as far as members purchasing raffle tickets. This one pulled a little over $100 in tickets at a $1.00 a pop so it worked out well.

    Who knows what they'll come up with next month! But whatever it is, I'm thinking I shouldn't buy a ticket or they're liable to take me out in the parking lot and ask me not to come back since I've won the raffle two months in a row! Last month it was a VF Barber dime.

    Good job. Our local show here in Melbourne has a drawing EVERY MONTH for a 1/10 oz. gold piece. I've been in the darn thing every month for years. Have never won. Probably never will...so it's nice to know someone who wins these things.

    The coin club I belong to has a coin auction at every meeting, anyone can submit their coins and there is no commission.
