I heard that even Tom Noe has 10 sets being shipped to his new address.

<< <i>By Noon tomorrow, an AGE set on Ebay will drop at least a 1000 bucks or more in asking price. This will be good for all collectors. >>

I am not sure that will be the case. Folks were bidding these up even for presale sets. We'll never know how many will be delivered tomorrow, but we do know that 10,000 sets is it.

So I guess since I ordered mine around 5:00 on the 30th with an order number of 23134xxx I am probably SOL since my status still shows backordered but shipping date is still Oct 6. Yep, probably SOL.

My second order has said "in stock and reserved" for quite a while. I think it'll ship when the "cancel" box goes away. --Jerry

The cancel box is now gone. I guess they didn't sell out in the first 6 hours anyway.

2 of my 3 sets have been changed to in stock and resrved order # 23133xxx

These wee placed at about 6 pm on the 30th.

I have one more set I am hoping for, but believe me, I could not be happier than to see I am getting 2, when I thought I was shut out.

The Mint mailed my $850.00 2 coin gold & silver Eagle set via USPS Parcel Post on 9/27 and I am still waiting to receive it.
They then mailed my $6.50 Westward Journey Nickel Set via USPS First Class on 10/4 and I received it today!
    Now that is pretty stupid...
Wonder how they will mail my 3 coin AGE Anniversary set? Bookrate??

Mint operators are now informing everyone who has an order that has gone unfilled, that they were always on the WAITING LIST. I wish they would have had the courtesy to let people know originally---it would have saved many of us a lot of anxiety.

As for my order 23137XXX- I don't expect any movement. Still reads Expected Shipping 10/6--

Still holding on to a sliver of hope--Oh well-

    HAPPY COLLECTING!!!

    FINALLY AN APOLOGY!

Refunds are being offered to buyers of the American Eagle 20th Anniversary Gold and Silver Set who feel they were misled into purchasing the $850 set when it went on sale Aug. 30 and want to return them.

The set has a maximum mintage of 20,000. Some buyers assumed that was it as far as availability of 2006-W uncirculated one-ounce American Eagle gold and silver coins. That turned out to be an incorrect assumption. On Sept. 28, individual coins became available for sale.

The Mint issued a statement to correct the problem and in an interview with Numismatic News, Mint Director Edmund C. Moy apologized.

“While the United States Mint is pleased to offer both the special Anniversary Sets and the first new Uncirculated American Eagles to our customers in the year celebrating the 20th anniversary of the American Eagle program, we do acknowledge that our communication regarding the intent, timing and pricing of these two programs could have been clearer. We regret any confusion that occurred, and have offered a full refund to any customer who is not satisfied and wishes to return their sets,” the statement said.

Telephone the Mint at (800) USA-MINT. Visit the Web site at www.usmint.gov.

    HAPPY COLLECTING!!!
