Stupid eBay Tricks
I decided to pick up a coin today and there were many on eBay. I bid on three or four and got sniped at the last second. Then I find one that ends late at night in the US and it's of course daytime here in Japan limiting the competition. So I bid.
A few hours pass and I come home from work and check my email. Outbid notice, Outbid notice, Outbid notice, Outbid notice.
Second Chance Offer.
I look the offer over and decide it's about as legit as most things on eBay and the price is a bit below what the coin is going for........So I pick it up and pay for it.
Not five seconds later after the paypal payment I get the email, but I get two emails.
Seems I also won the auction that ended late at night in the US, I thought it was one of the Outbid notices.
Now, I have two!!!! D'oh!

For new collectors reading along, always go to the official ebay site and goto MyEbay to check on messages for second chance offers. All legit offers will go through there, most scammer messages go directly via email. The other thing to look for is your real name in the message. A scam email usually only has your Ebay screen name, if the full registered name is missing, run.
