Adrian, wasn't that a couple of years ago? Regardless, why bring it up now?
Because three years ago there were about half the members we have now; many people have not seen what I think is a very cool, interesting and somewhat controversial coin.
I bought it from a board member sold it to another board member who crossed it, paid him a ten thousand dollar profit and then sold it to a California collector with probably the largest commem collection - over five hundred classic commems, all toned, many of them spectacularly toned and all graded by either PCGS or NGC.
I originally bought that coin from it's longtime owner back at a FUN Show over 5 years ago. I had alot of varying opinions on the coin when PCGS did not cross it after 3 tries. I sold it to someone in the know on toned commems, he did a walkthru regrade at a major show and it did not cross so he returned it to me for his money back and I gave it to him. I would say that was the most controversial coin I have ever owned in my life.
Specializing in coins with "thin film interference" & "sulfur impregnated surfaces" due to hanging out with "old bags" and "wrappers"

Which means it can't possibly be artificially toned...............

What would we do without NGC?
I hear NGC slabbed coins are sold on Coin Vault a lot
