Anyone like to break a 1984 OPC box w me? (Mattingly Rookies?)

I think this "group ripping" thing is really fun!
CHEAP THRILLS!
I received a wax box (36 packs) of 1984 O-Pee-Chee basball cards. There are plenty of stars in this series, and of course, the chance at a Don Mattingly rookie card "aint too shabby".
I can easily "rip em all", but thought it would be fun to share here @ CU.
I have a feelin' someone here will pull a Donnie Matt RC! (...or hopefully, at least some nice star cards?)
I will ship 6 packs to each participant (5 players and myself!). These packs have never been touched before. I will pull six packs out in the order of "who was first" (I'll take the first six packs!)...
Open to all here at CU (my friends and foe alike!). Let's have some cheap fun together!
Costs will be:
$ 5.17 per person (6 packs each!)
$ 2.50 shipping, packaging & paypal
$ 7.67 total
If we get all 6 (incl. me!) participants "Paypal paid" by tonite, I will pack em' up tonite and ship em' in the morning!
We all can "rip" in a few days!
Happy ripping! (For a little more than a buck a pack delivered, this will be some fun!)

Only an idiot would have a message board signature.
Damned multiplication.
Maybe next time.

Hey, how come my package weighs less than others? Does the Mattingly RC weight less than the other '84s and THAT'S why?

Just a wee bit DC otherwise this Ozzie is an easy 9

Edited to add: Also, if everyone packed as good as rbd then there would be a lot less of those "complaining" threads on this board
Arthur - I hope you didn't get all of the HOFers out of the box.
Charles
I can think of a few off the top of my head that I didn't get.

Arthur, good stuff!
I did about as well, no Donnies, but what the heck! Cheap thrills & I'm very satisfied!
The Ryan card has a little "gum damage" on the reverse. Too bad!

<< <i>i opened all mine.. i got a great player selection.. i was glad to see the advertisement card was between the gum and the regular cards, but as with most vintage packs, 1 card in each pack was still destroyed because of the gum..

That's exacty what happened to the Ryan card I pulled. It was right above the "ad card". Just one other pack had any gum damage at all. As the "ad card" seemed to "do the trick" in all but two packs! (My luck, one of the damaged two cards was a Ryan!)

Well, no Donnie Baseball but some real nice stars and HOFers... A fun little break, despite all my packs being 100% Yankee - free!
Thanks again rd...

<< <i>So ... are there only like 80 cards in the OPC set? It seems like everyone made out pretty good with player selection. I'd love to crack a full box. Rbd, where'd you find this one?
Arthur >>
I bought this box on ebay (seller: sittamjc). This was his only box. The scan looked cool and the price was ok! I knew it was a "one time deal".
I think an '84 topps wax case is available "out there" somewhere for around 700-800 bucks. And I think there are some 'rack-pack' cases "out there" as well.
rd
P.S. There are also '84 Donruss and Fleer wax "out there too" (maybe BBCExchange?) !!!!

What are you trying to say, Bob? You want to get a mini '84 Donruss box break going? Well I won't do it. There's no way you can talk me into it. I'm serious Bob. No f'ing around. Ain't gonna happen.
ALL RIGHT I'LL DO IT!! (saw that coming, huh?)
