PCGS Errors - anyone collect them?
I happened to have won one recently on EBay - the seller didn't realize it I guess. I didn't pay any kind of premium for it. This is one where the holder lists an 1886 but the coin is an 1896.
The holdered coin was worth the same as the one on the label, so no big rip, just an error slab.
Anyone think there is a market for them?

I collect both PCGS and NGC holder errors . . . don't have that many . . a half dozen or so. Obviously harder to find.
I've posed this question before on the Boards . . . never really found much interest, but I'm going to try one or two on ebay soon just to see. My two best are a classic Commem mislabeled as a different Commem, and another that is a pop 1/3 coin mislabeled . . and a pop 4/6 coin when appropriately labeled . . . !!!
A couple other common misdates like the one you wrote about. Paid up for the Commem (from an ex ANA-President) but the rest were fairly close to retail.
Sold the only one I shouldn't have . . . a 1907 Indian in an ANACS 63BN old holder. It was a circ no better than VF 20. It was fun to show that one off. Appropriately labeled, just wildly off on grade.
After posing these questions on the Board, I believe ebay is the way to go . . . or "send them back for re-holdering". Uh . . . yeah.
