Since many of you don't know me and my last thread got BOMBED by cans of SPAM, here's something I hope you all might enjoy!

I just bought this coin from EBAY in PCGS plastic.

That's the only reason I said PR69DCAM. image The coin is a doggy piece of improperly dipped crap.

If you want someone to GUESS the grade, you might want to blur out the grade on the holder at least...

I agree the coin is crappy! Should I send this back to the ebayer or keep this coin? (It was $12 shipped and looked flawless in his picture)

Sorry for leaving the grade visible.

That's a dip job that wasn't washed properly.

It didn't look that way when PCGS graded it, but after a couple of months after it was dipped the crap showed up.

    Return it.

I see you forgot to give him a bath prior to grading. Well, based on the tiny pics you provided, I'll guess 68 image

I agree with tpfnar, if the return period is still current, I suggest returning it. Just say the coin in person didn't live up to the photo.

Ok, Here is what I sent the seller:

    Hi there,

I received the PR69DCAM 1980-s kennedy you sent me. However, I am very unhappy with it! Your packaging was great but the coin itself looks awful. It was improperly dipped and obviously wasn't washed correctly to get rid of the acid. This coin in it's current condition isn't worth anything to me! I really wish you would have disclosed the discoloration in your auction description. I feel cheated. What can you do to fix this issue?

    Thanks for your time,

Thank you all for the input!

    Oh, dear.

The Seller has a 7 day return policy, so instead of saying it's awful and you feel cheated and then ask him "what can you do to fix the issue" you should have just said you want to return it.

BTW the $3.00 require insurance won't be coming back to you

Edit - you can see the stains on the devices in the sellers picture, but the coin is angled so they don't show up in the fields. image
