Allow me to (re)introduce myself to the forum!
Hello old friends and new friends. My (new) forum ID is "numisma", which is basically Latin for "coin". My previous handle here was "jaderarecoin", which I have decided to not use going forward. Most of you instantly recognize me as Dennis Tarrant, co-founder of Jade Rare Coin (ca. 1998) along with James Garcia. Things have changed over time with family and life in general and the company was sold to Andrew Reiber a couple of years ago. I recently moved away from Grand Rapids, Michigan and made a friendly departure from Jade. I still work with Andrew and Danaca on occasion and I encourage any past customers to continue working with Jade as they are a solid company that will take good care of you for any of your numismatic needs. My career change was a decision based around the goals and needs of my family.
I have taken a bit of an hiatus for the past few months, but I am back in full swing now. My new company is Tarrant Numismatica, LLC and we have a web site currently being developed under the URL of www.tarrant-numismatica.com. Should be up in a few weeks. I will be focusing on early American numismatics, but will be involved in everything related to numismatics. Hence the name "Numismatica", which is really just a spin on "numismatics", but to me is a bit more broad spectrum. Numismatica is the Italian version of the word and I felt compelled to utilize it for a few personal reasons. Regardless, the new site will be more focused on numismatic education than my past endeavors and you will be "seeing" a lot of me. Not so much in person at shows, but through national publications and the internet. I will participate in national shows, but not to the extent that I did in the past...... again for family reasons.
Anyway, I just wanted to reintroduce myself here. I have received numerous inquiries regarding my career change and thought that this would be a convenient way to provide everyone with the details. I will start posting more asap.
Thanks, Dennis

What is said is true....it isn't spam. Dennis is cool and has knowledge he shares here. He is doing a "re-welcome" post because he started a new handle and let the old one go.
People have been asking what he has been up to, for a few months, so it is cool.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

<< <i>Bottom line potato head is that Dennis is a veteran member of the boards...and he is coming back on under a new handle. He is afforded the right of every new member to an "intro" post. Just because he has a sig line that is his web sight does not make it spam. >>
Yeah - you guys are experts at detecting spam
Always good to have another Dennis around here

Sorry folks, this is spam. The purpose of this paragraph is to promote a website which the original poster hopes to make money with. Nice guy or not, it is still spam...
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
<< <i>So Dennis, what's up with all the nasty rumors with you leaving Jaderarecoin?? If they are true, I won't be dealing with you in anyway, shape or form. >>
Anyways, that shows how little trust you have in Dennis' character, so maybe you shouldn't be doing business with him anyway?
Hey Dennis, it's nice to have you back...

<< <i>I didn't take it as spam. What I take as spam is when there is a thread called "check this killer toned Morgan" everybody goes "ohhhhh ahhhh thats nice post more" and it's a slimey dealer with a link to his own current eBay auction. Well maybe this thread was spam but it wasn't blantant spam it was subliminal spam. I can't believe I'm sticking up for a DEALER. Please don't tell stman. >>
Yeah. Bottom line is, someone is trying to catch "the board" in a double standard (what else is new?), without understanding that in this case there would be solid justification for what appears to be a double standard.

Gotta love the recent slew of newer people who hide their profiles, disable their PMs, and then go all negative on things in threads. Makes me wonder about alts......

And they have to find double standards for everything, even in cases where doing so is absurd.
