...for other YN's to follow. I received a very nice thank-you note in the mail the other day for a book I sent her in a giveaway. The personal touch has been all but lost in this age of instant messaging.

On top of all that, Amanda is a neverending source of info. She takes the time to research an answer and then takes the additional time to post it. All this and homework to boot! I never tire of reading her posts.

    I have to say that the information she puts out is the same if not better than any other YN we've had on here in recent past including Cameron and Jeremy and I thought they were exceptional.

    Some posters have expressed their concerns regarding how old (or young) Amanda is, but to me, it makes no difference. She is an excellent and enthusiastic poster and a pleasure to communicate with.image

    Amanda is very polite and getting really good at grading coins. I learned what "Moose" meant in numismatics yesterday because of her. I hope my daughter knows as much about coins when she is Amandas age. image

    I've been collecting since i was 8 years old and I still know diddly squat compared to Amanda....

    Kudos to you, Amanda....you are a great talent to this hobby!!!

    Amanda is a great example for us all, young and old. Great knowledge, and always working to learn more. Never afraid to admit when she does not know something, and never offering bogus opinions in areas she does not know about to impress anyone. The real deal. Polite, and yet willing to mix it up when pushed.
    Double thumbs up.
    Imagine the level of input in 10 years? Twenty?
    We'll all be saying we knew her when!

    I can only say that I wish I had the knowledge and understanding of numistmatics at 17 that she has shown.......Hell, I would almost be as good as Marty or Russ!!!!

    Way to go Amanda!!! Keep that inquisitive nature and the ability to factually acertain the attainable information forwarded to you by the members of this forum!
