Is there any quality control at Anacs?

They must have brought the same half-wit along to Texas that did the holdering in Ohio. I had 3 like this out of 40 in my last submission in December. I'm curious...how would you react if you were the submitter?

I'd send my coins somewhere else from now on.
    When in doubt, don't.

Lord knows that never happens to PCGS coins.

I would have sent them back to ANACS. I had some scractched holders from PCGS and NGC that I sent back. All of these TGPs screw up.

Just tap the holder until the coin is where you want it! image

If you "edge tap" that holder, it may come apart.

I wouldn't blame QC. That may have happened in transport. I have coins rotated in all TPG holders.

So, people pay less for a coin rotated in the holder?
I would buy the coin and not how it is rotated in the corner, but, that is just me image

    Other than that....it happens.

I didn't ask if anyone would buy the coin. I asked how would you feel as a submitter receiving the freshly graded coins back that are rotated in the holder.

I must just be lucky with PCGS based on several comments.

Considering that I have several coins rotated and angled into NGC holders at odd unaesthetically appealing angles, I don't know why you make the sweeping generalization about ANACS. All three of the biggies have relatively poor quality control when it comes to holdering. Actually, the most consistent holdering I've seen has been from ICG.

Personally, I don't give a crap how a coin is angled in a holder- I'm not setting the thing out for display, and I can turn the holder around when viewing it...

The sweeping generalizition I made is from my experience submitting to anacs and PCGS.

No, there is no quality control there. It's each man for himself. You should see the urinals.

Good point, given we are talking the new flimsy holders.
