The ASE 20th Anniversary Set will sell for a premium after they are sold out from the U.S. Mint

These sets will sell for at least $250.00 after they sell out from the mint. With a mintage of only 250,000 this makes the silver reverse proof the lowest mintage in the entire series followed by the 1993(393,224) and 1994(372,168) ASE 93 and 94 Proofs which now go raw from $140-$180. A Proof 70 for the 93 is now $3200. Although you will not see this price for a 70 reverse proof because there will be many made, but it will command a premium. Plus the uncirculated with the first ever mintmark W will also make it the lowest mintage for the ASE MS Uncirculated series. Only 270,000 made with the W Mint mark. Compared to the 1996 uncircluated with the lowest uncirculated mintage of 3,603,386 that goes raw for around $50.00-75.00. There will be plenty of MS 69s made.
$50.00 the first ever Mint Mark W Uncirculated ASE compared to the 96 uncirculated
150.00 for the reverse proof compared to 93 and 94 Proofs
35.00 for the regular proof
Total at least $235
But I think they will even sell for more than $250.00.

I rushed my order right in, but...............................I also have my barf bag at the ready if ever a milk spot shows up on any of these eagles. Please, please not the reverse proof, please!!!!

All depends upon the collectability of the regular issue ASEs, and and those seem to have a growing popularity, year after year.

I will try to tackle this question. Due to the demand of the ASE program still being a very popular one I think the prices will increase steadily after the initial market value is found. Much like the 1999 silver proof sets. They seem to have finally found an end to price increase and settled down. Although one main difference is the quarter program is slated to end while the ASE program has no foreseeable end. Just my opinion but I really hope they go through the roof as I will have 10 soon.

You have a very good point there, but I think the popularity of the ASEs is well established and will soak up this issue, with the special 2 coins included, without a burp.

My my, aren't we grumpy today. A direct attack like that would generally be considered very bad manners. In person it might start a fight. Perhaps we should quit taking so much advantage of the anonymity that the internet provides and start acting like civilized people. I never say anything here I wouldn't say in person. Can you make that claim?

Unprecedented demand and it sold out quickly.
Mintage of 500,000, a little less than 2x the mintage of the rarest of the three coins in the 3 piece anniversary set.
From the initial price of $30-$33 each, such coins are now selling for about 500% more than they did in 2001. Currently around $180-$198.
I bought over 150 of these back in 2001 and kept them raw all these years.
I expect somewhat close to the same same performance from these 20th anniversary ASE's. But indeed, the first year of massive selling of these pieces will keep the prices well below their eventual value until the year 2008.
Additionally, not all three pieces in the ASE sets are of the limited production mintage?

true...the proof silver eagle has the W mint mark like all the regular silver proofs. The unc has a W so it is limited to 270k production total, and the reverse proof is 250k so these are the two that count.

Everybody and their dog has 10 sets with 9 to sell. Everybody aint right at the same time. I predict it will rise enough to cover eaby/paypal fees, and no more. It will be like the 2000 silver set that everybody was going to get rich off of.
