Dealer Lots on Teletrade

Possibly there are a number of auctions for these so-called "Dealer Lots" besides this one on Teletrade. Has anyone successfully bid for these and flipped them on eBay? Dealers are welcome to give their perspective too.

I bought a number of them in the old blind (totally sight-unseen) telephone bidding days and did quite well. Never flipped anything to eBay.

Whizzard, you should flip some coins off TT. It's an easy way to make some big profits.

I'm amazed that any bulk lots on TT could be routinely flipped for a profit.

I have bought dealer lots on TTR before and made money on them selling this material at shows. Can be tough as there seems to be more aggressive bidding for these lots on TTR than I would think.

I have flipped things from TT to ebay before (not the dealer lots you are talking about) but if you set your bid at a level that allows you the likelihood of a decent margin after ebay takes their fees, you will be outbid 19 times in 20. It is obvious enough why. Eventually I figured out that it takes a lot of work to make much money this way. It can be done, though.

I tried it once. It wasn't worth the effort. By the time I sold the coins I felt it was a waste of my time.

But if you can really rip a lot, it might be worth it.
