Yeah, p1 is type 2, p2 is type 1.

P2...is more of a blob and P1 is cleaner.

The pix on the SBA if you scrolled on the page would give you some definition on the S mint mark..

My take from those pictures is two type 1s.

While they may be there I do not see the distinctly bulbous serifs of the '81 T2.

This one got me. It was so different from the other 1981-S proofs that I have that I thought for sure that it was a type II.

No. 2 is a definite Type 1. No.1 is a possibility, but the resolution of the image is substandard.
