I'm wondering how many of you out there will slab these coins, or leave them in their plastic holders inside the Mint box. You gotta' think PCGS and NGC are licking their chops at 250,000 of these rolling out, at 3 coins each. IMHO, i'm gonna' have my set slabbed in an NGC multi-coin holder. you?

If I bought two sets, I might consider slabbing one of them in a multi-coin holder (probably the one with the better coins overall). But since I'm only buying one, I'm keeping it in its Mint packaging.

How exactly was First Strike the Mint's fault? They never designated early release coins as "First Strike."
Or are you referring to PCGS?

Shut up Doc and go stir the pot on the OF. I'm in charge over here today!
Mine are staying in Mint capsules until that problem has been tackled.
Am I right that they do not develop milk spots if left in the capsule?
I remember reading about some 1995W Proof owners that were very upset with now spotted coins in PCGS plastic.

The spotting occurs due to the rinse used at the mint. The problem is with both the capsules and the holders and occurs when the capsule or slab are exposed to the right conditions.
I beleive PCGS also has a multi holder.
Not on your life! They will stay safely enclosed within the origional mint packaging untill the end of time!!

Especially on your shirt.

I wouldnt waste a penny to have them slabbed. No fault of the US Mint since I just ordered a set.
PCGS assigned grade of a PR69 or PR70 today afterall is still an opinion.
All NGC/PCGS has to do to get these slabbed is to put these as required in the registries.
(on that note, I am not sure if I will buy already slabbed or leave the hole.....I am already thinking of selling off our SAE set because of the 1st Strike BS)
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I'll slab the unique ones.
