Questions on silver eagle toning????

Many of the coins in my Dansco album, have started to show some purple toning around the rims.

Will these become rainbow toned, or just turn purple?

If I don't like the way they are toning, can it be stoped and removed?

And if I do nothing, would this be considered AT, even though I'm not trying to cause it?

i bet a toned up set looks nice, even if they all do end up "purple".
mine in a dansco are doing generally the same thing. i try not to peek in too often.
some of mine have that rusty color. must be the incense ... lol

Yes, they will keep toning. They may all tone pretty, they may all tone ugly, or some may tone pretty and some ugly. They may be monochrome, or they may tone in multiple colors. No, it's not considered AT.

The jury is still out longterm, but the Dansco corrosion proof covers have kept my BF's set spot and tarnish free so far, and they've been in there for about a year.
