My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Looks like a lot of detail there. I'd take a chance for a few bucks on a "true auction" but not with a 90 dollar start.

$90 to start, photo from the stratosphere, 8 feedback seller, and ten bucks to ship it. Oh, yeah, I'm sniping this one.

I kind of feel sorry for people like that. They just don't have the skills to properly set up their auction.

Looks kind of cruddy--his other auction is almost identical, I suppose you could take one of you coins and hold it at arms lenght and compare the grade...lol

The topic of this thread made me think of a candidate for the ANA Board of Governors -- so removed from the issues collectors and dealers face each week that voiting for tweedle-dee vs. tweedle-dum is irrelevant.

The incredible photography in this auction, which hides keeps details from hobbyists so that they might knw what the real issues are could be the work of an ANA lawyer or governor. Any YN who travels to Colorado could have done a much better job describing the current state of this coin. I wonder if it's time to reserve a seat on the ANA Board of Governors for a YN who can speak his/her opinion.

In a couple of his pics it looks like tape was used to hold the coin on the background.

It does look like it has some good details form a few yards away. I think that coin is sitting on scotch tape. He taped it to the wall!!!

Why is it taped to the wall?

Because the silly clown could not get a straight on square shot of the coin any other way. I have had that trouble too. I just never thought of this ingenious way of getting around the problem. image
  • Somebody slap him, what kind of pic is that!
